The use situation of Web usabiliity and the changing user |
|
Although Web usabiliity is considered anew recently, it feels [ whether compared with some years ago, the standard of the usabiliity of Web is changing a little, and ].
It is the individual criterion of judgement based on the not a definition but definition which is felt [ changing and ].
The definition of the usabiliity by ISO 9241-11
According to ISO 9241-11 materialized in 1998, usabiliity is defined as follows.
The degree of the validity at the time of a certain product being used by the specific user in a specific use situation, in order to attain the specified target, efficiency, and a user's degree of satisfaction.

Moreover, three indices are described as follows.
* Validity: Correctness and perfection when attaining the target for the user to have been specified.
* Efficiency: Resources spent on correctness and completeness when a user attained a target.
* Degree of satisfaction: A lack in displeasure at the time of using a product, and affirmative attitude.
Generally these three indices are seen, and do not examine with ? how it is, but after setting up "a specific use situation", "a specific user", and "the specified target", they should examine it. [ it ]
It is because it is unreal to assume "a certain product" which can be used for all users in all situations by all uses.
Even when conceiving of the universal design which both senior citizens and children can use supposing use by all the web browsers containing a cellular phone, a game machine, etc., it becomes a major premise to grasp the use situation assumed and a user.
Probably, to design - mount will be required in customizable forms (for example, expansion of the character size in a browser, customize using the expanded functions of FIREFOX, etc.) so that he may be legible on it at the user side, and it may be easy to use.
It will be important to regard exactly "a specific use situation", "a specific user", and "the specified target" as a precondition when considering usabiliity, since the contents itself still think too that there is hardly validity of the use for everybody.
An output demand and a service demand
It is here, change a viewpoint for a while, and the viewpoint of the output demand and service demand to a customer's product is introduced.
* Output demand: The thing itself received as end products or service with a customer viewpoint* Service demand: Thing in connection with the process of service how to have corresponded by receiving what kind of treatment by the time it receives end products or service with a customer viewpoint
If such a viewpoint is introduced, it will be thought that it is a thing corresponding to [ corresponding to an output demand in validity ] a service demand in efficiency and a degree of satisfaction among three indices in usabiliity.
If the validity which is the degree by which a target is attained is low in case "a specific user" uses a site, "in order to attain [ "a specific use situation" ] the specified target", even if it is efficient and degrees of satisfaction, such as appearance and atmosphere, are high, it will seldom be evaluated in usabiliity.
That is, it is not used without utility value by the user who becomes a target (if = output demand cannot be filled).
If based on such a point, in case the usabiliity in a general company site will be considered, I think that it is necessary to consider according to fields, such as importance which the contents itself have, and value which the user by the amount of information service and updating frequency feels, more than the user-friendliness of a website.
